Today is July 6th. (Would have been my parents' 74th wedding anniversary today!! Check out the pic!) The 4th of July this year was a quiet, intimate celebration, so that we and our friends could continue to be safe. Typically we host a party for friends for the 4th of July - but decided to postpone it this year. I had already purchased the red, white & blue paper goods - so maybe, if we're lucky, we can celebrate the 4th of July in August or September or November!!
I was also notified today that two annual craft fairs in which I participate in October, have been cancelled. It is likely that the others I am scheduled for, will cancel, too.
For this reason, I am going to start posting and selling some baskets on my Facebook page...Long Leaf Pine Needle Baskets aka Dizzy Weaver. I need to figure out how to schedule shipping and payments. I do have PayPal so either Paypal or checks in the mail, will likely be the route I take. I'll probably offer one shipping cost per basket, too, for those who are not local.
There have been a few craft fairs, both indoors and outside, that have been taking place locally, but I don't think I'm ready to be in any crowds just yet. Plus, if lots of people were picking up baskets and putting them back on the table, I'd be having to constantly clean!!
